Arthur & Dace - A Romantic Summer Beach Wedding in Benalmádena

There is a particular quality of light that arrives on the Benalmádena coast in late July. It comes sideways off the water, warm and unhurried, and it makes everything - the whitewashed walls, the gathered family, the couple standing at the edge of the sea - look as if it has always existed in exactly that arrangement.

Arthur and Dace arrived at their wedding day with that same quality of calm. They had chosen Benalmádena not for grandeur but for ease: the proximity to the water, the relaxed energy of the town, the way it allowed their families - gathered from Latvia and from Spain - to simply be together without ceremony overpowering feeling.

We photographed and filmed the full day, from the quiet preparations in the late morning to the last dances long after the light had gone. What stays with us most is not any single frame but the rhythm of the day - the way Arthur laughed when he first saw Dace, the small moment when her grandmother took her hand, the group of Latvian uncles who discovered they could dance the same steps as the Spanish cousins.

The beach ceremony itself was short, deliberate and genuinely moving. Barefoot, informal, facing the water. The kind of ceremony that needs no narration because everything it means is visible in the faces of the people taking part.
