Yes - it requires more planning than a coastal venue, but the setting is extraordinary. The key is booking accommodation in the town (limited but high quality), giving yourself time for transport from Málaga airport, and choosing a venue that suits the landscape.

The gorge. The Tajo is 100 metres deep and the town literally straddles it - the Parador terrace and the views from the old bridge give you a backdrop that no coastal venue can offer. For couples who want drama and genuinely unique imagery, Ronda is in a category of its own.

What time of day is best for wedding photographs in Ronda?
Late afternoon. The gorge faces roughly east, so from around four o'clock the western sun catches the canyon walls and the stone of the Puente Nuevo, and the final ninety minutes before sunset are when the setting is at its most powerful. At midday the gorge sits in partial shadow under hard overhead light. Early morning, before the main tourist hours, is the quiet alternative for portraits around the bridge.
