Wedding photography in Marbella - golden coastline and luxury gardens

Wedding photographer & videographer in Marbella

Marbella is one of the most beautiful - and most photographed - places on the Mediterranean. The light here is extraordinary: warm and directional in the golden hours, soft and luminous during midday. But beautiful light and beautiful venues don't automatically produce beautiful wedding photography or film. That takes experience, a feel for the moment, and an editorial eye.

We know this coastline deeply. We understand how the afternoon sun falls across the terrace at Villa Padierna, how the sea haze softens early ceremony light at Puente Romano, how the gardens at Finca Cortesín glow in the last half-hour before sunset. This local knowledge means we're never working from a plan - we're reading the day as it happens.

Most of our Marbella couples book both wedding photography and a cinematic wedding film together. The two work in tandem - the photographs tell a visual story, the film carries the emotion forward through sound and movement. We also offer pre-wedding couple sessions across Marbella's most photogenic spots, from the Golden Mile to the Old Town.

Still researching venues? Our guide to wedding venues in Marbella covers the locations we know best - with honest insight on light, layout and how each venue works across a full day. For couples considering film coverage specifically, our Marbella wedding videography guide explains how we approach filming across the western Costa del Sol's main venue types.

  • The light here is differentMarbella's Mediterranean light is directional and warm - the kind that fills a terrace with gold in the last hour before sunset. We plan every shoot around it.
  • International couplesMost Marbella couples fly in - from the UK, Ireland, Germany, Scandinavia. Planning remotely is seamless and most couples confirm everything over WhatsApp without a single video call.
  • Photo + film togetherThe combination that most Marbella couples choose. The gallery holds the images. The film carries the emotion, the vows, the music - everything the still frame can't.
  • English & SpanishWe work easily with both languages - couples, guests, venue coordinators. No misunderstandings on the day.
Local knowledge

Venues we know in Marbella

We've photographed and filmed across the Marbella area - here are some of the venues we know well.

5-star resort

Villa Padierna Palace

One of the most prestigious wedding venues in Spain. The colonnaded terraces, manicured Italian gardens, and the pale stone architecture photograph with an effortless grandeur. Afternoon light falls across the ceremony lawns in exactly the right direction, and the scale of the property suits both intimate gatherings and large celebrations without either feeling wrong.

Beachside luxury

Puente Romano Beach Resort

A resort built in the style of an Andalusian village, set directly on the seafront between the Golden Mile and Puerto Banús. The ceremony settings vary from open beach to garden terraces and indoor ballroom, and the golden hour light arriving off the sea is consistently one of the most beautiful conditions we work in. A strong choice for couples who want luxury infrastructure without formality.

Classic glamour

Marbella Club Hotel

The venue that established Marbella's reputation as a destination for discerning international couples. Lush tropical gardens, timeless Andalusian architecture, and a sense of occasion that comes from decades of history. The ceremony settings are intimate and beautifully framed. For couples who want something that carries genuine prestige, this is one of the clearest options on the coast.

Countryside estate

Finca Cortesín

A grand Andalusian estate just outside Casares, surrounded by rolling golf course landscape and with an atmosphere of complete seclusion. The scale is significant - this is a venue for couples planning a serious luxury celebration - but the setting never feels cold or corporate. One of the most cinematic properties we work at on the western Costa del Sol.

Relaxed beach

La Cabane Beach Club

A relaxed, open-air venue directly on the sand near Marbella. For couples who want natural light, sea breeze, and an informal ceremony feel rather than the formality of a resort, La Cabane works particularly well. The light conditions in the late afternoon are excellent and the setting allows for a freedom of movement that enclosed venues cannot offer.

Andalusian hacienda

Hacienda Nadales

A beautifully restored hacienda in the hills above Málaga, set within the wider Marbella coverage area. Raw stone walls, whitewashed courtyards, rustic elegance and uninterrupted views across the countryside. The kind of setting that has genuine depth - it doesn't look like it was designed for weddings, which is exactly why it photographs so well.

Getting married in Marbella

Marbella attracts a particular kind of couple. Usually international, often with a guest list drawn from multiple countries, always with a clear sense of what they want the day to feel like. The large luxury resorts provide the infrastructure - accommodation, catering, coordination, all on one property - that makes a destination wedding logistically straightforward even when guests are flying in from six different cities.

What the resorts cannot provide is the editorial eye that makes the photographs and film extraordinary rather than merely competent. Beautiful venues are photographed badly every weekend. The difference is whether the person behind the camera understands how the light behaves at that specific venue, at that time of day, in that season - and is positioned to use it.

Why international couples choose Marbella

Málaga airport is 45 minutes from Marbella. Most European capitals are two hours away or less. That ease of access matters enormously when you are asking sixty or eighty people to travel for your wedding - and it is one of the clearest practical advantages Marbella has over more remote destination wedding locations.

The town also has an infrastructure maturity that rewards couples who plan carefully. Experienced wedding planners, venue coordinators who have worked with international couples hundreds of times, and suppliers who understand the expectations that come with a luxury wedding in a luxury location. For couples arriving from abroad, this familiarity with the international wedding market makes a significant difference to how smoothly the day runs.

We cover wedding photography and cinematic wedding films across the full Marbella area and the western Costa del Sol. If you are planning something here, we are happy to share what we know about specific venues and what makes each one work before you commit.

Questions

Marbella wedding questions

Do you travel to Marbella from Málaga?

Yes - Marbella and the Golden Mile are among our most-requested locations. We cover the full Costa del Sol from our base in Málaga, with no additional travel fees for venues in Marbella, Puerto Banús or Benahavís.

Which Marbella venues have you photographed at?

We've worked at luxury resorts, private villas, beachside clubs and inland haciendas across the Marbella area. If you have a specific venue in mind, ask us - we can share how we've approached the light and layout there before.

Do you offer both photography and film for Marbella weddings?

Yes. We specialise in both wedding photography and cinematic wedding films, and most couples book a combined package. You can see what's included on our services pages for photography and film.

How far in advance should we book for Marbella?

Popular Marbella venues - particularly the luxury resorts in summer - tend to confirm dates 12–18 months ahead. We recommend reaching out as soon as your venue is confirmed to check availability.

Do you shoot destination weddings in Marbella for international couples?

Absolutely. A large proportion of our couples fly in from the UK, Ireland, Germany and across Europe for their Marbella wedding. We're experienced working with international couples and can guide you through the planning process remotely.

How much does wedding photography cost in Marbella?

Photography packages start from €1,350 for up to 6 hours, and €1,750 for a full wedding day. Combined photo and film packages start from €3,000. Marbella is within our standard coverage zone from Málaga - no travel fees apply. All pricing is confirmed clearly before you book.
