The categories we use

Essential

Always on, because the site cannot work properly without them. They keep pages loading, remember the cookie choice you make here so we do not ask again on every page, and keep our enquiry forms working. They do not identify you and are never used for advertising.

Analytics

Only set if you allow them. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and galleries couples spend time with, so we know what is worth expanding and what is not landing. The reporting we see is aggregated, and we never use it to contact you.

Marketing

Only set if you allow them. We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. These cookies let us tell which campaigns lead to real enquiries, so we are not paying to show our work to people who are not planning a wedding. If you decline, our advertising still runs, we simply measure it less precisely.

We load our tags through Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager itself does not set cookies, it only decides which of the above are allowed to run based on your choice.

Google Consent Mode

We use Google Consent Mode v2. In practice this means Google's tags are told, before they run, whether you have allowed analytics and advertising storage. If you have not, they run in a restricted mode that sets no identifying cookies. Your choice is applied on the very first page you land on, not after the fact.

Information sent to Meta

When you accept marketing cookies and then contact us through one of the WhatsApp buttons, we send a matching event to Meta from our own server as well as from your browser, so the same action is not counted twice. If you have given us an email address, it is hashed before it leaves our server and the plain address is never sent. Without marketing consent, none of this happens at all.

Changing your mind

You can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like. It takes effect immediately, and withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing was.

You can also clear cookies and site data for longtakefilm.com in your browser settings, which resets everything including the record of your choice. We ask again after 12 months in any case.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. The lawful basis for analytics and marketing cookies is your consent, which you are free to withdraw at any point.
